7:08 AM Pacific
I wasn’t sure what I was going to write today – until about 40 minutes ago, when the hens of Amtrak decended on the table I was sitting at and started to…
(hold on – just a sec)
If you haven’t figured it out yet, I travel a lot! I spend most of my time behind the windshield or on a train to get from place to place. And this morning’s ride started at 4:35 AM in Roseville… it was dark, brisk and quiet.
Because of these early mornings – I sometime indulge in a little nap while someone else is driving… today was exactly the same. Crunched up in a corner up against a window with that sorta blue-grey government issue table sitting between 4 chairs – minding my own business when all of a sudden – I’M AWAKENED by cackling and a bold voice saying “We’re gonna invade your space!”
Their selfish attitude and pompous ways continued NON-STOP for 40 minutes!
The benefit to this pompousness?
To a marketer… it’s pure gold!
If you just sit back (fake like you’re still sleeping) and listen, you’ll hear things like:
+ I wish I could get more tan
+ I wish I had a flat tummy
+ I wish my husband would pay more attention to me
+ I wish my eyebrows were fuller
+ I wish that when I bought something really expensive you ladies would notice
and best of all…
+ I’m willing to outspend you ladies on what others call ordinary to be better than you and better than anyone in the office.
I WANT TO BE NOTICED AND VALIDATED.
+ I want to be THE ONE everyone focuses on…
and I’LL SPEND WHATEVER I HAVE TO TO MAKE IT HAPPEN!
That’s right… in just 40-minutes of listening, I have enough to craft an amazing offer in a niche that is NOT mine.
And, if you’d like to climb into my scary and hyper-effective marketing mind to see how it gets done – just…
raise your hand and register for Friday’s workshop.
PS: Some of you have asked why I’m not doing a replay of this… well, it’s simple – this stuff is so valuable that it’s making it into a paid product. So, you can get it now for nada or have to pay a pretty penny when I release it (and the other bits).
