I think it was mom that said black attracts everything expect men and money…
and today – it couldn’t be any more true…
I’m commuting to the Land of Google and Facebook on AMTRAK this morning and after putting my black blazer in the overhead bin – it’s absolutely filthy!
Now onto my one track mind…
When I got up this morning (at o’dark 30 = 3am) I was on autopilot.
I knew where I needed to go.
I knew I needed to stay focused on work.
I knew I wanted it to be safe.
I knew I needed it to be direct – no time to waste today.
So, the train just made sense (and apparently it made sense for a few thousand others today too).
It seems so natural when trying to go some place to plan it all out, to avoid the distractions and to plug along at a reasonable pace… not Ferrari pace for sure…
Why don’t we always do that in our own businesses?
Why does it take a consultant like me to come along and force big companies to think about:
1. Where they’re going (their vision)
2. Why they’re going (their mission)
3. The set of acceptable behaviors or choices to get there (core values)
My wish for every company or business owner I meet today and in the future, is that I can help put their organization on ‘auto pilot’ to stick to the same set of tracks that started their journey – so they can finally see the dream for themselves.
Today – when you board your train in your business – remember only a few things (typically not shiny objects) but real dull brute force things are designed to keep your trips smooth and efficient.
Have a great day in your ‘one track mind’
PS: Today at 11am EST is the launch of one of those brute force things that makes you more efficient and supercharges what you’re already doing – LINK
PPS: While there’s no glamour in a “launch” for https://MysticMailer.com – we’re going to be raising our rates very soon and taking away the bonuses. So, grab your seat soon.
