That’s right… one of your fellow subscribers (David this is you) wrote to me after the USP email a few days ago and asked if I would provide an example in the auto repair niche…specifically BMW or other German/European cars.
(it’s really an unfair advantage – I already know the area and the niche… some of my clients are in the same business but way up north)
So – I wanted to just lay out step one and then have you do some thinking too…
All I did was Google “Auto Repair Alpharetta GA” and I got a ton of hits. So, I took Google’s highest rankings in satisfaction… nothing lower than 4 stars (11 in total) and went to their websites to see what they were selling….
And – here’s the list (most frequent offer first):

Repair any car (5)
ASE Certification (3)
Long Time In Business / Experience (2)
Fleet Vehicles (1)
No Cost Inspections (1)
Short Waiting Time (1)
European Service (1)
** There was only ONE site that had a hint of a clean USP and their website was designed to slightly show benefits **
So – tell me… knowing what you know about marketing a local business. Knowing the suburbs of Atlanta. Knowing rural America. Knowing how people are wired… what would your USP be?
